This policy explains how Pitchwyse handles information when you browse our football scores, news, and editorial stories or use a Pitchwyse account.
Information we collect
- Account information supplied by an enabled OAuth provider, such as name, email, and profile image.
- Account settings including locale, time zone, and notification preferences.
- Session and security information needed to keep you signed in and protect restricted pages.
- Basic product activity, such as article views and notification state.
- Technical logs needed to diagnose errors, provider failures, abuse, and security incidents.
How we use information
We use this information to operate accounts, display local kickoff times, deliver requested alerts, improve the service, moderate editorial content, secure the platform, and meet legal obligations. Pitchwyse does not sell personal information.
Cookies and local storage
Pitchwyse uses essential session cookies for authentication and local browser storage for preferences such as visual theme. We will update this notice before introducing non-essential advertising or analytics cookies.
Service providers and external links
We use infrastructure, database, cache, authentication, scheduling, and sports/news data providers to operate Pitchwyse. News links may take you to independent publishers whose own privacy policies apply. Providers receive only the information necessary for their role.
Retention and account deletion
Account deletion begins with a 30-day recovery period. After that period, account data is deleted or de-identified subject to backups, fraud prevention, security records, and legal retention requirements. Operational logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary.
Your choices
You can update profile and notification preferences or request account deletion from Settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal information.
Children
Pitchwyse is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
